Sooooo!, hang on to your hats, fasten your eyeballs, and warm up your toes... Please keep all limbs and hair follicle extensions securely contained inside the perimeters of the myelin sheath. For your safety, all inner cranial and sensory components must be fully disengaged prior to take off.

Welcome aboard! We will soon be arriving, first left - second right, into the mind's cerebral hemispheres, landing inside her abundant storehouses of cellular images. All passengers are invited to wonder in, through, around and under these magnetic, vibrant moments compiled through time and chronologically categorized in cellular storage. Image selection can be engaged through nose plugging aromas, eye piercing sights, ear clogging vibrations, tongue dripping tastes, skin oozing sensations and air defying movements.

It all happened a long long time ago, or maybe not so long ago... in the depths of the Yankee Clipper Library on one of those "Oh My" Mom days! A storytelling concert! An enthusiastic four year old now sitting cross legged in the front center isle listening in motionless anticipation to stories being told, while I sit in captivating silence in the back row. Intermission brings a young story enthusiast into engaging conversation with the event's MC. Waves, nods and smiles exchanged from the front of the room to the back. Lights dim, the second half begins. An MC's mic-ed voice rings out: "We have a special guest storyteller, her name is... My four year old daughter confidently takes the stage. Over a deafening, pounding heart, whitened knuckles securely gripping the chair in front of me, I listen quietly, relaxing, now enthralled as my four year old daughter, Andrea' Nightingale, tells her first story. A year later, standing on stage in the storytelling tent at the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts, Andrea' and I, together, begin a new journey. Just like you have, only the title at the top of how we both got involved in storytelling!
